Room42: Taking the next step can be hard

Room 42 is a local facilitation company using design thinking programmes to help companies solve problems, adopt change and innovate in new ways. Read on to learn more about discounts they are offering to Amplifi members.

Let us help you. There is no doubt that we all need to act on becoming more sustainable businesses now rather than later. We all agree on the importance of change and the huge support for the Amplifi movement in our town is testament to our belief in working together towards a better future. But let’s be honest, the road from stout agreement to actual change is really hard. The reason is simple; the demands of everyday business means we are pulled in different directions just trying to make ends meet for our companies and our people. It is a simple fact that most change initiatives simply don’t make it out of the box but get filed in the ‘must get onto tomorrow’ part of our brains, only never to see the light of day.

This is where Room42 can come in. We are in essence a facilitation company using design thinking programmes to help companies solve problems, adopt change and innovate in new ways. It is often so difficult to break the inertia, get the time, get the buy-in for change or just come up with new ideas under the status quo and noise of everyday life. Outside facilitation is often the key and this is where we can come in. We look to be the catalyst to break the norm, actively facilitate new ideas and get people to the action quicker, be more united in direction and with greater advocacy from within. Think of us as a crack team who you can call on to get things moving where you spot a need. In this case, the need is to get going on becoming more sustainable for the future.

We are a new venture and really believe in what Amplifi is trying to do. As such, for the next 12 months we are offering everyone who is a member of the Amplifi group a 33% discount on all of our facilitation programmes (usually £3500 + VAT per programme reduced to £2,345 + VAT). In addition we are also offering 2 free 'ideation' programmes (focussed on sustainability) in the next 12 months to successful applicants within the Amplifi group.

Applications for the free programmes will be assessed on the following criteria:

● Projected impact on sustainability as a result of the programme
● Commitment to the activity
● Ability to self-finance the activity
● Potential impact on others in the Amplifi group

The ideation programme we are offering centres around a 1 day collaborative workshop using divergent, reframing and convergent exercises designed to help you come up with new ideas and build upon them together as a team. The focus will be on exploring ways to reduce your carbon footprint, cut energy use, cut waste and get better internal adoption of a sustainability strategy and ethos. We also work with you
and your team in advance to ensure the best possible outcomes on the day and after the workshop to consolidate next steps. The goal is to set you up with a number of clear, supported and actionable ideas to implement in your move to become more sustainable as a business.

To enquire about our discounted programmes or to apply for one of the free programmes, simply email knock@room42.co.uk, describe your business and where you are on your sustainability journey and let’s start the conversation. A full range of our programmes and more detail of our approach can be found here

A bit about us. Tunbridge Wells and Bristol based, over the years we (Tim & Jon) have worked with dozens of brands from well known high street retailers through to governing bodies and international football clubs, helping them transition for the digital era and crucially become more agile along the way. We have also set up and built our own B2B and B2C businesses across a varied range of activities from coaching through to bike hire using a mobile app in the countryside around Kent & East Sussex.

Let us help. Together let’s move from agreement to action. Time is of the essence.
