Free Carbon Literacy Training
In the face of climate change, one of the most pressing challenges is ensuring that individuals and businesses understand the profound impact of their actions on the environment. Carbon literacy training is a powerful tool in addressing this, helping participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to reduce their carbon footprint.

Amplifi has teamed up with Grain Sustainability to deliver this training - they are an organisation dedicated to promoting environmentally sustainable practices in industries across the UK.
With 40 free training sessions on offer, this initiative presents a unique chance for businesses, organisations, and individuals to become more conscious of their environmental impact and take meaningful steps towards sustainability.
The Carbon Literacy Project has TAP100 status - recognised by the UN at COP21, in Paris, as one of the top 100 worldwide Transformative Action Programs. All attendees will receive Carbon Literacy certification, supplemented by increased confidence and knowledge - a superb accreditation to add to your CVs to showcase your commitment to individual and group climate action!
What is Carbon Literacy Training?
The training covers the science behind climate change, the sources of carbon emissions, and the practical actions that individuals and organisations can take to mitigate their environmental impact.
It equips people and organisations with an understanding of carbon and climate change, and how they can make a positive difference. Becoming Carbon Literate involves making two pledges, one individual, one organisational, which lead to predicted carbon savings of 5-15% per Carbon Literate individual.
It is run in two online sessions of 9-1pm. The first session is the Climate Fresk and the second is a more traditional learning structure with presentations and discussions.
Climate Fresk is an interactive workshop designed to educate participants on climate science, looking at the cause and effect of human actions on the environment and society. It is based on data from the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reports, making the information more digestible through a card game which encourages collaborative learning.
40 Free Sessions
Amplifi will cover 40 free carbon literacy training sessions as part of their commitment to empowering communities to reduce their environmental impact. These sessions are available to anyone, but may be more relevant to those working in an office environment or a management position, e.g. accounting, consulting, IT/tech, law, management, marketing.
Our goal is to break down barriers to climate education and encourage as many people as possible to get involved in sustainability efforts.
The Benefits of Carbon Literacy Training
There are numerous benefits to completing carbon literacy training.
- It enables individuals and organisations to gain a better understanding of the causes and consequences of climate change.
- It empowers them to identify areas where emissions can be reduced, whether that’s through energy conservation, adopting renewable energy sources, or changing travel habits.
- Carbon-literate employees can lead to a culture of sustainability within the organisation, further developing its positive impact on the environment.
- For businesses, carbon literacy training can also enhance brand reputation, demonstrating to customers and stakeholders that the organisation is committed to sustainability.
- It can also lead to cost savings, as businesses that adopt energy-efficient practices often find their operational costs decrease.
